Local Liaison/Co-ordination Meetings

Terms of Reference

To co-ordinate works to minimise inconvenience to highways users, involving

  1. consideration of both Highway Authorities and Undertakers' specific major projects;

  2. medium term and annual programmes (both capital and maintenance) for Works for Road Purposes and Street Works;

  3. local policies affecting street works, including traffic management proposals

  4. reviewing performance at local level, including damage prevention;

  5. Street Works licences

Wider issues will be referred up to Regional HAUCs

Membership

Representatives from any Utility, or Highway Authority or District Council carrying out Street Works or Works for Road Purposes and the Street Authority. As the occasion requires, the representatives from adjacent street authorities, local planning authority, the police, Emergency Services, disabled group or others may attend.
